HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One Printer, Fax, Scanner
Source: HULIQ.COM
Amazon.com offers interesting price for HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One. You Save $89.99 if buy from amazon. Design of HP OfficeJet 5610 All-in-One The tan and brown HP OfficeJet 5610 looks serious and fits a bundle of features into its 18-by-16-by-9-inch (WDH) shell.
However, HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One Printer, Fax, Scanner, Copier gives short shrift to some basic features. For instance, the output tray sits on top of the input tray, so you'll have to remove completed prints and lift the tray out before adding or changing paper. With some HP printers, you can tilt up the output tray and lock it into place but not so with the 5610. Also, the scanner lid doesn't detach to make room for scanning or copying large documents. This printer can work with black, ordinary color and photo inks, but because it holds only two of them at a time, you'll have to swap the black and photo ink tanks when you switch between printing photos and text documents. The cartridge slot is narrow and deep, a tough reach for short or fat fingers.

HP CP1215 Color LaserJet Printer
Source: COMPUTERSHOPPER.COM
At just $299, the CP1215 is HP's most affordable color LaserJet"and it shows. This printer's slow color print speed, lack of network connectivity options, and single paper tray mark it as a decent performer that's unsuited for big workloads or medium to large businesses.
Unlike most color lasers, the CP1215's setup is relatively simple and contains a mere five steps if you include inserting paper into the lone 150-sheet paper tray. HP ships the unit with pre-installed, “introductory” toner cartridges that offer roughly half the yield of the unit's standard cartridges. The starter tanks are good for 750 pages of both color and black prints, but the standard color cartridges ($64) are good for 1,400 pages, while the black cartridge ($70) can crank out 2,300 pages.

Canon Pixma iP2600 inkjet printer
Source: NETWORKWORLD.COM
You find few true bargains among low-cost color inkjets--such products always involve trade-offs. But Canon's Pixma iP2600 color inkjet printer has the goods where it counts, producing surprisingly decent print quality, even on plain paper. As a result, this supercheap printer's mediocre speed may be less of an issue for many buyers. Another reason to like the iP2600: Canon's better-than-average performance in our recent Reliability and Service survey.
How mediocre was its output speed? In our tests, the Pixma iP2600 printed text on plain paper at a rate of 8.5 pages per minute--slower than both the Epson Stylus C120 and the Lexmark Z2420 Wireless. Its print speeds for color graphics and photos ranged from average to worse, but the actual printouts were worth the wait. Text samples looked deep-black and pretty crisp. Color images printed on plain paper appeared vivid, maybe even a bit overdone. On Canon's own photo paper, the same images improved markedly and were smooth, detailed, and natural.

HP Officejet Pro K8600dn Inkjet Printer
Source: PCWORLD.IDG.COM.AU
The HP Officejet Pro K8600dn colour inkjet printer's wide-format capability (it can print on tabloid and B-size media) means that you can print larger documents from your desktop. The product also supports the business world's "faster, cheaper" mantra, offering impressive speed and economical inks.
In our tests on letter-size paper, the K8600dn produced text pages at a snappy rate of 13.8 pages per minute (ppm). It managed from 2.6ppm to 4.1ppm printing various colour images. We didn't test its speed in printing wide-format media, but it would probably be slower because it would have to print more.

Lexmark Z2420 wireless inkjet printer review
Source: PCADVISOR.CO.UK
Though the Lexmark Z2420 wireless colour inkjet printer seems to be just another low-cost, bare-bones model, it has a major edge in its integrated 802.11b/g wireless connectivity, which gives it a flexibility that few other printers in this price range can boast. Unfortunately it needs all the help it can get, because its performance is mediocre.
The Lexmark Z2420 performed adequately - barely - in our tests. It produced text at a rate of 10.1 pages per minute (ppm), just slightly above average for this category. When printing colour graphics, however, it posted some very slow speeds.

Epson Stylus C120 inkjet printer review
Source: PCADVISOR.CO.UK
The Epson Stylus C120 colour inkjet printer has something going for it other than a low price, namely blazing text-printing speed. That speed seems to come at a cost, though, both in inks and in print quality.
Printing plain-black text on plain paper, the Epson Stylus C120's tested speed of 15.6 pages per minute (ppm) was out of this world for an inkjet. It left even the fancier and far more expensive HP Officejet Pro K8600dn in the dust. In its price range, the next-fastest printer currently is the Lexmark Z2420 - and that unit was over 5ppm slower in our tests. The Epson Stylus C120 returned to earth when printing graphics, posting average-level speeds.

Brother MFC-9840CDW multifunction printer review
Source: PCADVISOR.CO.UK
The Brother MFC-9840CDW is a multifunction colour laser printer, copier, scanner and fax machine, with wired and wireless networking capabilities. It doesn't come cheap, but if you're looking for a versatile machine that does its job well, the MFC-9840CDW is a worthwhile investment. It can be a little tricky to use - especially when you're setting up wireless printing - but you end up with high-quality output that's produced quickly.
Setting up the Brother MFC-9840CDW was a breeze. After powering up the machine and installing the toner cartridges, you have three connection options: ethernet, USB 2.0, or 802.11b/g wireless. Connecting via USB is as simple as it sounds. The trickiest connection setup was the wireless, which required setting up IP printing. The user manual, however, does a good job of directing you through this process.

OKI C3450n LED Laser Printer
Source: TRUSTEDREVIEWS.COM
OKI is the only ‘laser' printer maker which doesn't let a laser beam near any of its photoconducting drums. Instead it uses a bar of high-intensity LEDs to alter the charge on the drum and define the printed image. This is a much simpler and less bulky system than the lights and mirrors of a laser engine and OKI has at last taken advantage of this in the design of its new C3450n.
Although the company has never had much of an eye for industrial design, the C3450n has a slightly more up-to-date look than earlier colour lasers in its range. Decked out in grey and cream, it's one of the smallest colour ‘laser' printers we've seen. It's designed as an in-line device, with four drum and toner cartridges and four LED strips, ranged from front to back under the top cover.

Add a Wi-Fi laser printer to your office for $99.99 shipped
Source: CNET.COM
As I've mentioned in the past, wireless printers rock. No, they rawk. For the last couple months I've been beaming documents through the Wi-Fi ether to a Brother HL-2170W, and let me tell you: I'm through with USB. It's just so liberating to stick a printer wherever the heck you want instead of having it tethered to your desk.
The HL-2170W lists for $150 and sells on the e-street for around $130, but you can snag one from Newegg for $99.99 shipped. CNET rated the printer 7.3 out of 10, but three users gave it an average score of 9 (I'm one of them).

Inkjet Ink Test: Manufacturer Brand vs. Cheapo Store Ink
Source: GIZMODO.COM.AU

Trusted Reviews has a big investigation on inkjet printers and inkjet ink, and their year-long study comparing fading between more expensive manufacturer brand vs. the cheaper crappy brand shows that you get what you pay for. Over three months, the differences between the two were negligible, with pages only fading slightly (but noticeably) in quality.

Xerox melts ink to stay green
Source: NEWS.COM
It looks and feels like a square, yellow crayon.
But it's actually a lot more sophisticated than that. It's ink in solid form (aptly called "solid ink") made of a polymeric resin, and Xerox researchers are using it, combined with advances in print head technology to make a greener printer.
Solid ink is different from what's used in the average desktop printer. Instead of buying cartridges filled with liquid ink, which are inserted into small print heads that race back and forth to transfer an image to paper, solid ink is melted, then dripped into a single drum that's as wide as a regular sheet of paper.
The image is then transferred with heat and pressure to paper. It takes about 10 revolutions of the drum to transfer the image, which is then hardened and ejected from the printer.

New way to save energy: Disappearing ink
Source: NEWS.COM
The Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) and parent company Xerox are experimenting with a type of paper and a complimentary printer that would produce documents that fade away after 16 to 24 hours. A restaurant, for instance, could print its daily specials on a piece of paper, attach the pieces of paper to menus, and then collect the sheets of then-blank paper in the morning to run through the printer again.
Users don't have to wait for the paper to fade either. By running it through the special printer made for this paper, the printer will erase the old image before putting the new one on.
The paper and printer could hit the market in a few years.

Lexmark's new All-in-One lineup
Source: ASIA.CNET.COM
Ask anyone about Lexmark printers and they would probably mention "affordable" somewhere along the line. Affordable it may be, but the US company is bent on providing consumers a better printing experience with its printers. In recent years, All-in-One (AIO) units are becoming more popular as they are space-saving, which is important if you have space constraints. The price slash on these units has also boosted sales of this category. Probably with this idea in mind, Lexmark's introduced its new line of AIO units targeted at home users, students and small offices.
While Lexmark Singapore did not provide any information regarding these printers, we got a better idea of them from Lexmark's US Web site.

Toshiba to prosecute toner trademark infringers
Source: DAILYMIRROR.LK
Toshiba Singapore Ltd has geared up to taking to task those selling counterfeit items under their trademark.
“In recent years there have been many counterfeit toners bearing the Toshiba trademark that bring out poor quality finished paper prints sold to customers”, Toshiba Singapore Electronic Imaging Department International Operations Senior Manager Jun Kanamori said at a press conference held recently. When these products are sold naturally the complaints that are made by the customers come directly to the Toshiba Group.
“We will take legal actions to the importer who is bringing down these products”, Toshiba Singapore Electronic Imaging Department International Operations Country Manager Christopher Lee added. One would know it is counterfeit when you take a photocopy you get smudges here and there as well the words may come out foggy. The possible hazards that you could experience with a real Toshiba product is that it is subjected to a stringent test and in counterfeit there is no such thing and in physical hazards the toner is not flammable.

Canon PIXMA MP970: “Best Multifunction Photo Printer”
Source: NEWS.IDEALO.CO.UK
The flagship model from Canon’s multifunction inkjet printer series has received the 2008 TIPA award in the “Best Multifunction Photo Printer” category. With seven separate ink cartridges, the Canon PIXMA MP 970 achieves a higher efficiency and produces impressive colour depth, contrast and richness. One picolitre of fine ink and a printing resolution of 9,600 x 2,400 pixels per inch are together responsible for producing magnificent photos. The ChromaLife100 allows pictures to be archived for up to 100 years, to ensure you can thoroughly enjoy them. The pictures look just as if they were developed professionally when printed in the borderless 10 x 15 centimetre format. However, its done much faster than professionally, because in the standard mode it only takes around 35 seconds to finish each photo.

Kodak's ESP 3 Printer + LCD = ESP 5
Source: NEWS.DIGITALTRENDS.COM
Kodak continued to build its extensive all-in-one printer line on Thursday with the release of the ESP 5, another multifunction machine built to use its low-cost inks. Like its predecessor the ESP 3, the ESP 5 rolls a flatbed scanner and printer into an attractive black case, but adds a LCD screen for viewing, editing and printing photos without a computer.
The ESP 5 accepts media cards in a wide range of formats, including SD, MMC, MemoryStick, xD, and CF, plus USB thumb drives. Once inserted, pictures can be pulled up and manipulated on its three-inch color LCD screen before printing. For those who would prefer to do the work on a computer instead, Kodak also bundles the machine with more powerful retouching software.

Can you remember a time the fax machine broke, or the copy machine got jammed for the umteenth time? A local company tried to get even with the malfunctioning machines just in time for Administrative Professionals Day.
We've all thought about taking a sledgehammer to office fax and copy machines when they act up. Wednesday, some ladies in Whiteville did just that. Ruth Ward was one of them.
