HP Issue Statement on CP1215-1515-1518 & CM1312 Cartridge Problems
HP Admits it Screwed up (WBs were not lubed - so jammed & flipped)
Sikna says,
Why did it take HP about 9 months to recognise and solve this problem?
Even in the attached Official HP Issue Statement, they only obliquely mentioned the Drum Wiper Blade as the actual cause: "In extreme cases the blade can be ripped off the cartridge and be found inside the printer."
Can you believe they did not lubricate the drum wiper blades in these carts at all???
Don't they even run a few test cartridges before mass producing?
I have only one customer but more than half of his 16 carts had this problem. Some came as starter carts, some as replacements direct from HP and some from a local Staples. All had high rate of WB failure.
I disassembled them all and found the drum WB's had no lubrication at all. Methuselah Powder solved the problem.
It seems the more vast the organization the slower they are to hear and respond.
