the empties that are sent back to
hp etc... are ground up and thrown in the landfill?
Also what does staples do with the empties they buy back for $3 a shot?
If they are being thrown away that gives me some serious ammunition to add to my pitch.
Enlighten me please!!
On a side note, today was a very good day for me. I've been working on my cold pitch for several weeks now. I had deliveries in this little town I marketed a couple weeks ago. The safeway I had missed the manager so I went back in today. I go in, introduce myself and start my pitch. He interupts me and says
Manager: I heard of you
Myself: (kind of surprised) oh yea, from who?
Manager: From so and so. They work in such and such banks.
Myself: (I act like I remember them/I hit the whole town that day -over 100 businesses) oh yea, nice ladies they are

Manager: Yes we were all talking and think your recycling program is great. We have a green day coming up thru the chamber and would like you to be a guest speaker
Myself: Yea it sounds great, i'd love too (I do well one on one, but am horrible in front of larger crowds)
Explanation of my recycling program. I ask them to hold their empties and as long as the cartridge is one that can be recharged (OEM or one of my suppliers cartridges) I will pick them up as requested, and they will be sent back to be re-used.
Anyways this seems like a pretty good opportunity for me starting out. I also had several other leads (got
printer info and permission to quote out) including a casino
