The company I work for, makes newsprint. I work full time & run my cartridge recycling part time in my time off. In the papermill, on the wrapping line, we use some inkjet printheads to put on our packaging ID & Barcodes & other pertinant information.

Because of my business, & the cost of this "special" ink, (triethylene glycol base), I started looking for companies making a similar ink fo less cost. I found a company, and submitted a cost savings suggerstion to my boss, who approved it & we started using the less expensive ink.

I've been on vacation fo 6 weeks, when I returned, one of our instrument tchs told me that the company rep from the printhead manufacturer had been on site, & told our area management people that he would refuse to sell any parts for those printheads unless we bought our ink from him.

So, now we are back using the inks form our original (rip of) supplier.

I knew there was a law in the US forbidding this sort of thing over warranty, could it possibly be interepreted to cover a case like this also?

I'm trying to describe the situatiion without mentioning names..............
