I have an 8150 that has a strange error I can't figure out. It is in a bank and they run statements on it with 3 hole punched paper. Coming out in landscape the problem is about 1/3 the way down and sporadic. It leaves 3 black spots like the holes on the leading edge of the paper and also leaves a line about 1/4 inch wide. The line varies in density and also sometimes it is only on the left side (in landscape, bottom in portrait). It also leaves a light shading, almost looks like sprinkling across the entire leading edge of the paper and about 1 inch down. The defects come and go, but most of the time are there. The longer the machine runs the darker and more continuous the defects.

I have put in a new maintenance kit. If fact I have tried 2 different fusers, 3 transfer rollers, 3 cartridges from different companies and replaced the HVPS. I even swapped the duplexor with the machine beside it. All with no luck. There is another 8150 right beside this one and when I switch parts between machines the defects stay with the original machine, until it put the transfer roller and paper guide assy. into the other printer. Then the defect shows up on the other machine. So I think I finally have this solved and put in a new transfer roller and paper guide and it still does the same thing!!!

Am I missing something obvious? Any ideas are appreciated.

Jeff
