I was happy to read in the January 2008 issue of Recharger (P. 16) that Static Control Components, Platinum Manufacturing International, (SEE THIS
)., and ISV Chips
have resolved their patent disputes and are now coming together to share their technologies. Ed Swartz even praised Platinum Manufacturing's technologies and looked forward to working with Steven Miller to cross
license their technologies.
This is the kind of industry cooperation that encourages me that the industry is indeed headed in a solid direction. Old paradigms are coming down and I hope it continues into other areas with other vendors. I personally want to congratulate these companies for ending their disputes and coming together in a cooperation that I suggest is for the betterment of the industry.
