To all owner's of a Cartridge World North America Franchise ,
A number of store owners from the Rocky Mountain and South Texas territories have joined together to form the Cartridge World Franchise Owner's Association, a legal entity formed to represent owner's interests to Cartridge World North America. The association is very new and has about a dozen member stores.
The association has been formed to improve communications between the franchisees and CWNA, as well as to provide an avenue to air concerns / grievances. Legal counsel has been retained by the association.
An announcement of the association's formation went out today and I have copied that announcement in full for your information:
To all owners,
Recently a meeting was held by a body of collective owners to discuss the concerns of communication from CWNA and the stores. Our intent in this forum was to have an open discussion and explore opportunities to bridge the gap between these two parties. As you might be aware, the FAC council has been inactive for some time and we felt there was a need for representation from this owners group. The result of these discussions was to form an Owners Association. This Association would not be affiliated with any CWNA current councils; rather, it would be independently supported by the owners. We believe that, through this Association, we can bring an Owner’s perspective and opinion to CWNA. We have incorporated this under the Franchise Owners Association INC and since have approved By-laws. Inclusive, we have retained franchise attorneys Dady and Garner for any legal advice needed by this Association. Moving forward, we would like to hold quarterly calls in order to gather information and begin a process of identifying areas of opportunities to ensure issues from this association are being addressed in a timely fashion. Additionally, elections will be held to appoint an Owner to represent their respective region. We understand that there is a wealth of knowledge throughout this organization and look forward to listening to your opinions and asking for your expertise. Our goal is to represent these Owners and open up dialogue with CWNA to help provide solutions to those areas of opportunities throughout this company.
The Association elected two officers for a temporary eighteen month term during the formation. The result of that election was Tom Evans, Kalispell Mt as President and Kristy Bowman of Missoula Mt as Treasurer. Inclusive, a motion was brought to the table that dues would be set at $240.00 per fiscal year per store number. Multiple store owners would pay dues for each store they own. This motion passed.
We invite those Owners who would like an opportunity to have their voices heard to please join us and help represent this Owners Association. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact:
