I am working on my A+ and I am a little confused when the book starts explaining the system bus. First it explains the the traces on the board as a bus. OK I understand that. Then it says that some buses are 8,16,32,etc data paths wide, meaning they can carry 8,16,32, etc pieces of data at a time. Does that mean that trace is carrying the 8,16,32, or does it mean that 8,16,32 traces make up the bus? or is there underlying traces deeper in the board?

The processor, does the bulk of the processing, the chipset helps. there are two chips, they call them north and south. North does the fast work, while the south does the slow work. the system clock, sets the speed or frequency that everything works at. Right?
