I have a friend (he started out as a customer), who went to liquidation world to browse.
He found one wall with HP 92,93,94 95 and some absolutely archaic cartrides - $10.00 each (Canadian)
He told me about it - and I suggested he go to Staples and mess with their minds. They advertise price matching.
So - he took his receipt & cornered someone and made his request.
Then came the stalling. They wanted a day or 2 to research it as Liquidation World isn't on their list of loopholes.
After roughly a week, My buddy got tired of the"wait" & went back into Staples to see what goes on.
The excuse was - "But that is Liquidation World.
The response was - "That's not in your list of loopholes - what's the problem?"
The staples manager was involved at this point and was running out of excuses & stood there going "But But But But But But"
My buddy said to him: "Look - I'm 72 years old and I'm Jewish. How much BS do you think I'm going to take?
The manager turned to the till and said - Give him four HP 93 at $10.00 each.
We're both rolling on the floor laughing.
Price match is price match - nothing else.
