Premium membership has been unofficially launched:

OK, time to discuss this out.

There is a module in place to manage membership(s) to the ImagerZone through Paypal. Subscribing will automatically give you the rank of "Premium Member" and make you part of the Premium Member group giving you special benefits. Ending your subscription will reverse that.

There will be a sign-up fee and the choice of a monthly or yearly subscription. The yearly will be discounted. Opening for discussion:

$100 sign-up (Discounted for limited time intro period?)
$10/monthly or $100/year (20% discount)

With that, the site will remain as an open community. MOST of what exists will be available to all. Here are the basic differences (So far) that subscribing members will get:

- The able to see (BLOCKED) content on the site, in PM's, and via Email
- Access to forum(s) that general members will not have
- The ability to see/click links to pages on the web
- "Priority" help with issues.

Thoughts on restricting the following to premium:

- PM/Email ability
- Upload ability
- Ability to create polls
- Other site features?

Details on the priority help:

TO BE CLEAR: The goal is to NOT close ImagerZone to non-paying members. So all existing members will still be able to read and post. Also, ANY member (premium or not) is free to help as they see fit.

But there is a distinction on the site of Simple/Newbie members just getting their feet wet here and those that depend on/benefit regularly from ImagerZone and its members being here for them.

Now, as you can see from conversations on the site, many members want to see the site survive and thrive. So much so, they are helping structure a premium membership, one they will be part of. Though they spend much of their time helping others, they too gain from the site. And that's just it. They need the ImagerZone just like other members. Those I have talked to feel if they give (Through helping others & becoming premium members) then the people they help should as well.

Oh. and the last part of setting up the subscription I can use help on: TERMS & CONDITIONS of the premium membership. You know, the basic you will be billed monthly, can terminate, get the site as is, and so on. If you can be of help putting something together, please contact me.
