samsung clp 300 drum

I have a customer that is having an issue with their Samsung clp 300 drum.
It seems that the cyan will cause a streak during printing. They remove the drum--blow off any accumulated toner with compressed air , then reinstall the drum and toner carts.
This seems to work for 15 - 20 pages, then spots start to form and gradually the streak is back.
My question --is there a way to clean the drum, or is a replacement in order?
