Hello
I change
chips for
HP carts 10,82,88 and lately for Canon MBK102. Some are resettable, others not.
My question is: Do I need to use an antistatic wrist band? The company I buy them from includes in their packaging a warning so I assume they must know.
Also I remember from a previous post some time ago, that there was this report by a reputable Swiss company which stated that the highest percentage of circuit failures were due to static.
This leads me to assume also that it would be a lot safer to use the bands when handling any cart with a circuit.
The wrist band kit comes with a red mat. It is quite pricey, compared to the wrist band, so I would like to know what is it made of?
Your comments will be highly appreciated,
José Robles
