Had to Pull Out

As most of you know I was moving premises over the last few weeks to give me space to remanufacture and a chance at retailing to pay the rent. Well, I moved in last Sat two weeks having erected sign, purchased shelving, at a cost of two weeks off the road getting everything moved and organised. The thing that clinched the deal in the first place was that his staff were going to look after any walk-in customers while I was out on the road dealing with prospects and customers. It was only after I was in the place at huge expense to me that he informs me his staff wouldn't do it as they had too much to do with their own work! And then he had the gall to tell me that he never promised that his staff would do it, yet every converstation we had before I moved in I reminded him how important it was to me. He even said his staff weren't overly busy (his words) and the only thing to discuss with them was the commission structure for any sales.
Needless to say I couldn't sit there waiting for someone to come in, I have to be out on the road, and the proof was that after a week I hadn't had one caller so it was going to take some time and a lot of promoting. I had no choice but to pull out and not finding anything suitable have come back to my old place. The upside is that the rent is free (it's a mates) and I have the attic where I've cleared a space for remanufacturing. Rent won't be free forever but it'll give me a chance to get back on my feet, if it's not too late! Man did that mistake cost me!
I'm still commited to moving into that area for a host of reasons but I will now only do it when I have staff of my own and I will not share with anyone!
