CC53x cartridge reporting shipping lock error

I thought I read something about this before, but could not find it now. Perhaps I am spelling the error message wrong. I sold a customer a complete set of CC53x's and only the CC532 yellow cartridge is reporting a "shipping lock error" or "shipping cover error". We went to swap her out and the replacement reported the same error. The third cartridges did not give the error. I thought it had to do with some spring loaded contact. Any help is appreciated.
