Post Rings on PCR

Hi

Looking at how a PCR and toner cartridge interact...how would rings form on a PCR?

My theory...(one theory)

The imperfections in the drum (pin holes, weakness in the coating...etc) cause changes in the electric charge.

This "pin hole" on the drum "burns" a grove in the PCR. The PCR rotates several times per drum rotation. This cause the pin hole on the drum to contact the PCR at different intervals, to form a ring, over thousands of rotations.

Maxy...do you no why rings on a PCR occur?
