Sales Rep and Office Staff

Strongly considering getting a sales rep and someone in the office part time. I find I am getting nowhere fast, fire fighting and doing all the necessary things that just seem to eat time but produce little benefit.
Looking at getting a person in the office part time for the mornings to free me up to get out and about making sales calls, and getting a rep with a proven track record and a current list of clients. Both will effectively need to be funded from cash flow from the extra business both I will be able to generate and the sales rep will be able to generate. Am I fooling myself or is it a plausible idea? If I don't get some help soon I'm going to go mad!
