The European Court of Justice has ruled that eBay and other sites can now face legal proceedings for failing to stop the sale or promotion of illegal products.
Bottom line is that online retailers can likely be sued by brand owners for selling counterfeit goods. That means if they are made aware of illegal goods, they need to actively do something about it.
So if you seem some dodgey cartridges turn up on eBay, now if you let them know something should actually happen.
Good news for anyone fed up with counterfeit cartridges spoiling the reputation of the aftermarket, I think.
