I recently received a call from a woman who said she was referred to me by the owner and gave his name (mispronounced). Since she had a strong latin accent I thought nothing of it. She told me that he gave her my number and that we (as a company) could help he in her need. She then went on to give this long story about her husband (I believe it was) passing away and that her business folded (so I gather) and so now she wants to sell off the remaining assets to pay her bills. She sounded nearly in tears and very downtrodden. The items she had that she thought we might be able to use was 10 boxes of box tape. "I think I may have some tape guns back there I can throw in also." Please help me, Oh your so kind, and a host of other smoke blowing statement were made to make it all sound legit. Then I asked for her phone number to call her back after I confirmed it all. The owner in question had been on vacation for two weeks and I knew it would be a stretch for her to have talked to him. Well, a man called back once to try to set up a shipment and never called back.

These people have to be devoid of conscience. I have had so many tactics thrown at me to get me to buy box tape. Free watches, slip in an order on a warehouse guy with a free gifet, and a host of others. This one takes the cake!
