Review: Konica Minolta Magicolor 2530DL Color Laser Printer
Source: PCWORLD.CA

The Konica Minolta 2530DL is a compact color laser with built-in networking features. At approx. $399 (as of July 11, 2008), it costs $100 less than its predecessor, the 2430DL, did at release, and it offers a few improvements, including increased memory and lower accessory costs.

The 2530DL doubles the internal memory to 64MB, which enabled us to print high-resolution photos successfully from a digital camera attached to the printer's front-mounted PictBridge port. Without an expensive memory upgrade, however, the 2430DL could print only in draft mode.

Like all GDI-based printers, the 2530DL depends on your PC to render its pages. Konica Minolta provides a driver that lets the 2530DL work with Macs as well as with Windows PCs. The simple control panel includes a two-line LCD that's simplifies the task of entering setup parameters, such as the image quality and image size to use when printing from the PictBridge port.

Samsung CLP-300 Color Laser Printer
Source: ITVOIR.COM

Well, what do you know! Color laser printers are finally affordable for smaller companies as well. Hell, sure has frozen over!

The Samsung CLP-300 claims to be the world's smallest laser printer, which you definitely won't find hard to believe considering that regular color laser printers are big enough to shelter a homeless person. This one, on the other hand, occupies as much desk space as any regular desktop laser printer with it's 13.4x15.4x10.5 inch body, which makes it especially great for small office use. It weighs 30lbs, but I don't see how that will affect anyone's buying decision.

Konica Minolta Magicolor 4650EN Color Laser Printer
Source: WASHINGTONPOST.COM

Konica Minolta's Magicolor 4650EN color laser printer competes well with other recently tested models in our rankings. It's a little less expensive but not quite as fast or full-featured as the Oki Printing Solutions C5500n. On the other hand, the like-priced Samung CLP-660ND is much slower. For smaller offices or workgroups, the Magicolor 4650EN would be a solid choice.

In our PC World Test Center tests, this Konica Minolta printer posted competent midrange speeds of 23.1 pages per minute for plain text and 3.9 ppm for graphics. Text samples looked black and clean. Graphics looked detailed. Photos had a yellowish cast that was distracting at times.

Epson Launches Epson Stylus T11 Inkjet Printer in India
Source: ITNEWSONLINE.COM

Epson has launched the Epson Stylus T11 inkjet printer in India. Targeted at entry-level users such as students and first-time buyers, Epson said the printer blends low price points for both printer and ink cartridges with high quality prints.

The compact-sized Epson Stylus T11 scores high on appeal with an eye-pleasing matte jet-black finish. The small form factor means the printer can reside comfortably as a desktop companion without appearing bulky or intrusive.

The Epson Stylus T11 comes with a host of high quality features such as the Micro Piezo print head. Using the same technologies found on high-end Epson printers, the print head produces print resolutions at up to 5760 dots per inch for incredible sharpness. As an engine, the Micro Piezo prints at 22 pages per minute, and is also capable of printing 4R photos in under a minute.

Brother MFC-885CW: printer that does absolutely everything
Source: PCAUTHORITY.COM.AU

Brother certainly wants its multifunction devices to be all things to all users. Not content with merely printing and scanning, the MFC-885CW also includes an Ethernet port, a DECT handset, 802.11b/g wireless, an ADF and a pair of paper trays. Throw in the 6-in-1 card reader, PictBridge-compatible USB port and fax machine and the indisputably high asking price of $365 initially looks like very good value for money.

Brother is the only multifunction device manufacturer to include a cordless phone handset – a definite plus. The handset itself is a well-built model that charges from its cradle on the side of the printer, and can store up to 100 numbers in its integrated phonebook. The fax machine is similarly useful, complete with a built-in phonebook and a digital answering machine capable of storing up to 30 minutes of missed calls. The 10-sheet ADF on the top of the MFC-885CW is a handy addition for multi-page transmissions.

Epson Stylus SX400 all-in-one printer review
Source: POCKET-LINT.CO.UK

The new Epson Stylus SX400 (and apart from the LCD screen, the otherwise identical SX200 variant) is a stylish and relatively compact all-in-one inkjet printer, scanner and copier.

The "cost effective" tag from Epson suits too as the SX200 costs £79.99 while the SX400 tested here retails at £119.99, so both are indeed cost effective given the triumvirate of features on offer.

However, I’m not sure the 2.5-inch colour screen is worth the extra (almost) £30. Despite that, the machine is easy to set-up, slipping free of its polystyrene protection and packaging quickly.
