TAB is the toner additive build-up that is embedded into and on the surface of the PCR during the cartridge life. On color PCRs, it appears as a colored build-up. On monochrome PCRs, TAB is a whitish-gray film. TAB creates an insulator barrier that results in print defects such as backgrounding, hazing and streaking.
