A trio of ink printer cartridge thieves has struck again in League City.
On March 3, a man and two women made off with 122 ink printer cartridges worth about $20,000 from the Wal-Mart at 1701 W. FM 646.
Then on Friday between 12:50 a.m. and 2:21 a.m., a man and two women made off with $4,157 of ink printer cartridges from the same store, League City Police Lt. Bruce Whitten said. Like the first theft, the ink printer cartridges were loaded in to a large plastic storage bin in a shopping cart.

MAKER OF EXPENSIVE PRINTER INK HP has filed a lawsuit to sue four printer ink cartridge companies for patent infringement, according to Businessweek.
The patent infringement case rests on cartridges sold by printer ink cartridge maker ( SEE THIS) and three other manufacturers. HP alleged in a complaint filed in US federal court that all four companies "converted more than 300,000 genuine HP printheads from HP facilities in Asia", then sold them as products manufactured by another company, Mipo Technology.
